ARK defines disruptive innovation as the introduction of a technologically enabled new product or service that potentially changes the way the world works.
Companies within ARKK include those that rely on or benefit from the development of new products or services, technological improvements and advancements in scientific research relating to the areas of DNA technologies (Genomic Revolution), industrial innovation in energy, automation and manufacturing (Industrial Innovation), the increased use of shared technology, infrastructure and services (Next Generation Internet), and technologies that make financial services more efficient (Fintech Innovation).
ARKK is an actively managed ETF that seeks long-term growth of capital by investing under normal circumstances primarily (at least 65% of its assets) in domestic and U.S. exchange-traded foreign equity securities of companies that are relevant to the Funds investment theme of disruptive innovation.

The Premium/Discount chart shows the difference between the daily market price of the Funds shares and the Funds net asset value (NAV). The daily market price is calculated using the mid-point between the highest bid and the lowest offer on the listing exchange, as of the time that the Funds NAV is calculated (usually 4:00 pm Eastern time). The vertical axis of the chart shows the premium or discount of the Mid-Point price as a percentage of the NAV. The horizontal axis shows the number of trading days covered by the chart, and each bar in the chart demonstrates how many days the Fund traded within the given premium/discount range.
