The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust is a charitable foundation established in 2012 to mark and celebrate Her Majesty The Queens sixty-year contribution to the Commonwealth.

We have received support from governments, corporate partners, trusts, foundations, community groups and individuals from across the Commonwealth.

Our mission is to enrich the lives of people from all backgrounds within the Commonwealth by working with partners towards eliminating avoidable blindness and empowering a new generation of young leaders.

With a five-year time frame in which to deliver successful programmes, our aim is to leave a lasting legacy, owned by the whole Commonwealth, in honour of Her Majesty The Queen.

Through grants, advocacy and convening, we are working with partners to create sustainable improvements to the lives of Commonwealth citizens, in line with Commonwealth priorities.

Our focus is on the empowerment of a new generation of Commonwealth leaders, and the ending of avoidable blindness.

Our programmes are determined and shaped by the governments and citizens in the Commonwealth countries where we operate.

We are tackling areas of need where we know we can make a clear, measurable difference within five years.

We work in alliance with governments, NGOs, civil society and businesses to deliver our programmes and to help build momentum where change is needed.

We are applying cost-effective, tested approaches that we know can bring benefit to Commonwealth citizens.

We support partners to develop pioneering technology and tools which can benefit the Commonwealth as a whole.

We fund education, training and research to enhance local expertise in the countries where we work.

We work with governments to strengthen health systems so that changes will benefit everyone for generations to come.

We seek to encourage changes in policy and practice that improve the lives of young people and end avoidable blindness.
